1. Who is GoalTrak® suitable for?
All organisations or businesses, whether in the private or public sectors, can reap major productivity benefits from using this software tool.
2. How long does it take to get up and running?
Supply us with some basic data and your site will be available within 24 hours. We then provide 1-2 days basic training. As soon as your strategy is loaded and the initial users are set up they can start to create goals.
3. Are there any free users on GoalTrak® EV?
Yes. There are three; everyone else pays the monthly fee or the one-off fee for 100 users.
4. Will we need training?
The Quick Start and help menus are comprehensive but training is recommended so that you get full value as quickly as possible. We provide a straight forward 1- 2 day package.
5. How secure is it?
Only those users with a username and password can view the customer data. Full details of our security standards can be seen in the softwareasaservice fact sheet on the website. Need to add something about encryption
6. Who owns the data?
You do.
7. Can everybody see all the organisation’s goals?
No. Users select which goals are visible to other goal users although to get maximum value from GoalTrak® it is strongly recommended that restrictions are kept to a minimum.
8. Why is this goal setting process important?
It is built round a tested process that has been successful for over 40 years. It is truly collaborative and no goal can be unilaterally changed. Others that impact on the performance of the goal can both see the goal and annotate it. Actions generated by the goal can be exported to Microsoft Outlook or any other compatible file.What's important about collaborative goal setting?
Collaborative goal setting avoids the top-down imposition of goals which leads to a target setting culture and a lack of focus on driving the business as a whole. Target setting cultures rarely get the necessary level of commitment from the goal owners. In GoalTrak® the ownership of each goal is made clear.
9. Can GoalTrak® help with tracking the progress of a business?
Certainly. This is one of its strengths. All goal owners are required to enter information about progress made against each goal at intervals agreed with their managers. They are reminded to do this by the system and managers are alerted if deadlines are missed. Those responsible for the overall performance of the business, or specific parts of it, can then assess progress using personalised dashboards which automatically draw on the data which has been entered. In this way areas that are not performing as expected can be identified, and corrective action taken, well before critical points are reached.
11. Are the dashboards fully customisable?
Yes,. You can have as many of them as you think appropriate drawing on whatever data inputted into the system by goal owners you consider to be important to you.
12. What kind of documents can go in the knowledge repository?
Anything that you think that the goal owners, or others in the business, need to know.
13. How is tracking information kept up to date?
Reminders are automatically sent to the goal owners using goal mail. Whenever deadlines are missed, managers are alerted.
14. What is goal mail?
Goal mail facilitates a secure form of communication between the systems users. Alerts are automatically sent to recipients email in-box
15. What are annotations?
Annotations are comments or additional data that others who see the goal think are appropriate
16. Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
No. There is only a small, one-time, non-refundable set-up fee. Users can be added or removed at one months notice.
17. Can we customise the product in our corporate livery?
Yes. Some are free and more detailed changes can be negotiated for a fee.
18. Are any adverts on the system?
No.
19. Why their three different versions?
GoalTrak® EV is web based and for use organisation-wide.
GoalTrak® CV is web based and for use by coaches and mentors.
GoalTrak® PV is a PC based personal system
20. Can I have the software loaded on to my own server?
Yes.
21. Is it suitable for all my staff?
Yes. The maximum benefit comes when all staff have their goals entered onto the system.22. Does the system help with appraisals?
Very much so. There is an integral appraisal facility that is directly linked to performance in achieving goals. In this way, performance can be objectively assessed in a way that is fully transparent to the individual. The system facilitates talent management, personal development and skills audits.
23. What increase in productivity can I expect from using Goaltrak?
